Activating and Empowering the Muladhara (Root) Chakra.

Good day, I used to be questioning if anybody right here had any ideas, meditations, or workout routines for empowering my Muladhara Chakra. I’ve just a few meditations and asanas (yoga poses) that I already use, however extra assist cannot go unsuitable.

  1. Oooh this is a fun chakra to work with. It really opens your eyes to what you do automatically due to routine or other demands. This chakra is all about survival, instinct, getting your needs met. It’s a selfish chakra, but it’s the good kind of selfish.

Try this: for one entire day, pay attention to your needs, and meet. them. Feel the urge to go to the bathroom? Get up, go to the bathroom. Don’t say “I’ll hold it until…” or anything like that. Immediately meet your needs. Same thing with food, water, rest. Sometimes it’s hard to meet your needs because maybe you’re lazy or busy doing something else, but that is exactly why you need to do it. Empower yourself to take care of yourself.

This next thing is a bit…well….I’m going to talk about pooping. I know it’s taboo to talk about it, but I think that sitting down and taking a dumb can be an excellent time to devote to the root chakra. First of all, if you assume a somewhat meditative posture and begin breathing deeply, it will physically help you release, which is always nice. Easy poops are happy poops. But the beauty of it is acknowledging the survival aspect. Defecating is considered dirty or unholy, but I think it is a very cleansing process (at least sometimes) and the act of releasing what is unnecessary to your body deserves attention and respect. Not only is it physically centered around your root chakra, but if you never pooped, you wouldn’t be surviving.

To finish off, I think paying attention to what goes in is just as important as being mindful of what goes out. A lot of people will suggest eating red foods to activate the root chakra, but I have found that actually eating root vegetables gives me a greater connection. Things that are earthy and still have some dirt on them. Connection to the soil, to mother earth, that is extremely strengthening.

**edit: I am not normally so bathroom focused. I just re-read my comment and realized not only did I devote an entire paragraph to shitting, but I mentioned using the bathroom earlier in the comment as well. Normally I’d apologize, but honestly I think it’s super important in regards to the root chakra, so get in touch with your dirty bathroom habits and empower yourself to defecate with the life source energy of the earth.
